How to make a basic hula hoop

Hoops are lots fun, and a great item to have for fitness. Even better yet they are cheap and easy to make! below are instructions for making a basic hula hoop using PVC tubing, an insert and tape.

items you need before you start:

• Plastic tube cutter: about 25$ for life
• Tubing:this varies greatly in price based upon tubing type. Begginers are recomended to use PVC tubing and this can be bought cheaply at most home improvement stores. Usually sold in coils of 100ft (about 10 adult sized hula hoops.)
• double male connector:
these can be bought in packs or as singles about $2 per connector
• tapes:Tapes are the most expensive part of making a hoop, but like tubes there are many options. please note electrical tape is the easiest to work with.
• Pot of boiling water: you will want to have a pot of boiling water ready when are making this style of hoop, the hot water is used to loosen tubing to allow the connector to be pushed into place.
