Sock Poi
|
Sock poi is great for both practice and performance. Sock poi is ideal for beginners because of it’s low cost and inflicts less damage. (See the source link for the image for a quick DIY tutorial) |

Led Poi
|
LED poi is probably the second most know type of poi. Usually made with LED lights incased in some soft platic. This type of poi can be found in many diffrent sytles like Capsule, pod, cyrstal, and club styles. This type of poi can gotten in any color assortment, and even avail with flashy programmed light patterns. |

Club Poi
|
This is more popular with proffesional preformers. The ends for this type of poi is the same type of club that used in juggling. |

Flag Poi
|
These are often triangluar strips of fabric attacked to swivel handles. This type of poi is unlike most because of it's drag and light wieght. |

Maori
|
While Maori Poi isn't as popular as Fire or Led, it is the most traditional Poi. This is often only used in group preformances. |

Pendulum Poi
|
This type of poi is not as recomended for begginers because of weight of the large balls at the spinning end. However their heavy weight makes them great for stalls. |

Tail/Ribbon Poi
|
This type of poi is best described as a cross between flag poi and maori poi. This poi is great during the day as it leaves a wonderful trail with tail as it flies through the air. |
