While surfing YouTube I came across this wonderful video. This video is by HNWpodcasts and is a great tutorial for beginners with devil sticks. If you don't have a pair of devil sticks you can get them at the Jolly Lama for fairly cheap. Just follow the link in the last sentence to arrive in their Juggling stick section.
